Learn Reiki Philadelphia Instructors Danielle L. Stimpson and Sean Jacobs recently collaborated with local non-profit The Community Cultural Exchange to bring Wellness and healing to the South Street Arts scene…and Philadelphia Weekly took notice! With the hands-on support of some of Danielle and Sean’s students, the entire evening was staffed with practitioners ready to introduce Reiki to their neighbors.  We couldn’t be more proud that The Philadelphia Weekly took notice in this article.

We’re happy to announce that we have something very special planned for this month’s Arts on South Fourth Friday Celebration at the space (details soon!), and we are planning a Level 1 Class at the CCE with Danielle Stimpson there April 14 & 15! A portion of the proceeds will go back to The CCE, and support the development of Community through the exchange of Arts and Culture in Philly’s South Street District.

There is a CCE event this evening (3/6/2012) upstairs at Copabanana at 4th and South Streets. Join everyone for live music, good company, drink specials, half priced appetizers, and $50 off coupons for this very special class!  Danielle will be on hand for any questions you might have.

We’re also enrolling a Level 1 Class in Elkins Park PA March 17 & 18, just 20 minutes from the City by Regional Rail.

As always, this class will prepare students to teach Reiki and attendees who complete the course will have prepared all of the materials they need to teach their very first class.  A strong focus will also be on professional practice, ethics, and business basics.  With the added benefit of co-learning, participants become colleagues and will have each other for support and enrichment throughout their careers.

Class dates February 25th & 26th, March 24th & 25th & April 21st & 22nd - No physical attendance requirement thanks to e-learning!

Tuition Sliding scale $475-600, you select your level of investment with no questions asked. $100 deposit holds your space and is applied to your total tuition.

Materials/Other Expenses

• Manual is included, Danielle does not require you to purchase any additional books.  To complete necessary research, Students are permitted to borrow books from Danielle’s extensive library at no cost, except postage if needed.
• Students are also expected to give Reiki sessions to others as well as receive sessions of Reiki and other modalities of their choosing.  Student insurance is strongly recommended (usually less than $100), and Danielle has a long list of trade-friendly practitioners to keep this requirement as affordable as possible.
• If you are taking this course online, you will need a computer with high speed internet access.

Are you seeking to deepen your healing practice, or learn something new?  Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) is a gentle healing method practiced using light touch.  It is wonderfully effective in supporting emotional development and moving past our old wounds and patterns.  Anyone can learn IET, there are no prerequisites, and the one-day per level training format makes it fit easily into a busy schedule.

Share the beauty of Reiki with your Community-become a Reiki Instructor! Our comprehensive program focuses on in-depth study of the practice of Reiki, it’s rich history, Japanese culture, other energy practices and healing modalities, business info and lots and lots of teaching theory.  Students are guided through the writing of their own level 1 manual and practice teaching with support and encouragement.

Our training takes place in 3 weekend classes over three months.  If you keep up with all course requirements, you’ll be done by April!

Prerequisite Reiki 2, and we do accept transfer students although some additional classroom observation (at no additional cost to the student) may be required. Correspondence study is also an option, one trip to Elkins Park or Philadelphia will be required.

Lost your job?  We feel your pain.  We’re offering this very special Reiki 1 Class to help support our friends and neighbors that wish to grow as individuals in spite of economic hardship.  This class includes everything that you would get in our usual 2-day Reiki 1 class plus networking, keeping the blues at bay, and using Reiki to help you attract the best job for you and giving the best interviews ever.

So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and join us for a class like no other!  Open to anyone and everyone who is currently not employed or is unable to work due to disability. All who attend both days will receive a level 1 certification.

Two day class: Monday, Dec. 5 9am-4pm (lunch break 12-1:30pm) and Wednesday, Dec. 7 10:30am-4:00pm

Shamanic Exploration & Expression

A Community Collaboration of Shamanism and Art on Philadelphia’s South Street with Danielle Stimpson

Shamanic Journeys, or trips to the Spirit World, are the foundation of any Shamanic practice. These unique drop in classes will focus on experiencing and exploring these realms in trance-based meditations using drumming (no plant helpers, psychedelics or stimulants) with guidance and support. Students will then express their experiences artistically in any medium they wish.  Literal or abstract, visual art, written account, music or performance; all expression is welcomed and encouraged.  All students who wish to take part will be included in an Art Show and discussion that  is open to the public (yet to be scheduled).

Shamanism is not based on any specific religion, spirituality or understanding and is open to all without judgment or stigma.

This one of a kind program is being co-hosted by The Community Cultural Exchange and the Arts on South Project, which opens up vacant retail space along South St. to Artists groups to invigorate the corridor in a troubled economy.
