Lost your job?  We feel your pain.  We’re offering this very special Reiki 1 Class to help support our friends and neighbors that wish to grow as individuals in spite of economic hardship.  This class includes everything that you would get in our usual 2-day Reiki 1 class plus networking, keeping the blues at bay, and using Reiki to help you attract the best job for you and giving the best interviews ever.

So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and join us for a class like no other!  Open to anyone and everyone who is currently not employed or is unable to work due to disability. All who attend both days will receive a level 1 certification.

Two day class: Monday, Dec. 5 9am-4pm (lunch break 12-1:30pm) and Wednesday, Dec. 7 10:30am-4:00pm

Sliding scale (you decide what you pay within the range, no questions asked) $100-175

Shamanic Exploration & Expression

A Community Collaboration of Shamanism and Art on Philadelphia’s South Street with Danielle Stimpson

Shamanic Journeys, or trips to the Spirit World, are the foundation of any Shamanic practice. These unique drop in classes will focus on experiencing and exploring these realms in trance-based meditations using drumming (no plant helpers, psychedelics or stimulants) with guidance and support. Students will then express their experiences artistically in any medium they wish.  Literal or abstract, visual art, written account, music or performance; all expression is welcomed and encouraged.  All students who wish to take part will be included in an Art Show and discussion that  is open to the public (yet to be scheduled).

Shamanism is not based on any specific religion, spirituality or understanding and is open to all without judgment or stigma.

This one of a kind program is being co-hosted by The Community Cultural Exchange and the Arts on South Project, which opens up vacant retail space along South St. to Artists groups to invigorate the corridor in a troubled economy.

Danielle, our Founder and a long time South Street resident, is beaming with pride over this project and would love to see you join in.  Explore your own inner artist and connection to Spirit while supporting Philadelphia’s South Street and The Community Cultural Exchange.

Danielle Stimpson marks 3 years of teaching Reiki!

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since I taught my very first Reiki classes at Philadelphia Community Acupuncture!  In that time I have taught just about 100 students in levels 1-master, Reiki & Crystals and Introductory Shamanism.  I could not be more grateful for all of my students, colleagues and friends who have supported me along the way!

What is Reiki? What about Shamanism? Danielle explains on Shadows Radio

On August 10, our own Danielle Stimpson had the pleasure of sitting down with Mark Davis and Rebecca Lynch on their web-based Radio show “The Shadows”.  Their show focuses on the Paranormal, including ghost hunting and investigations.  During this show, Danielle discusses both Reiki and Shamanism and how they relate to the Paranormal field. Danielle discusses at length the practice of Reiki, the many differences within the Reiki system,  and how one can be attuned and study to become a practitioner.  She also discusses and compares the Chinese energy medicine system of Meridians, Vedic energy theory including Chakras, and combined systems as found in Thailand.

On the topic of Shamanism, Danielle gives some clarity to “Spirit Guides and Helpers”, the shamanic journey, trance states and working with human spirits.  She opens up about her personal practices of Reiki and Shamanism and how she uses them to help clients while respecting their boundaries, and even makes mention of religious conflicts to working with spirits (like those seen in Islam, for example)..

Danielle had the opportunity to answer questions from the hosts and listeners including:

• How does Reiki work with Chi?
• Do you have to be psychic to practice Reiki?
• Have you encountered a lot of ‘fake’ Reiki Masters”?
• And of course, how do these practices relate to the paranormal and how can these techniques help during a paranormal investigation?

Next Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) Level 1 Class Just Announced!

Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) is a form of energy healing channeled directly from the Angelic realm, and is wonderful to facilitate mental and emotional healing.  Like Reiki, it has no negative side effects and is gently practiced using light touch.  

Our own Kelly Morton will be offering Level 1 Training on Sunday, July 10 starting at 1pm. This one day training will get you started as an IET practitioner, and leave you with the skills to treat yourself and others.
